Finished floor-to-floor height
State the height the stairs will connect and whether both floor finishes are complete. If further layers are planned, describe them where known. A construction-stage measurement is not automatically a final manufacturing dimension. Identify uncertainties so the specialist knows what needs checking.
The opening and its surroundings
If safe to do so, measure the ceiling opening length and width. Include a wide photo showing the intended starting point, doors, windows, slopes and passageways. A labelled sketch is more useful than numbers without an explanation. An installation address is not required for the initial discussion.
Preferences are not technical specifications
Describe your preferred straight or turning layout, landing, timber, colour and balustrade. An inspiration image explains appearance but does not establish the specification. Step dimensions, headroom and fixings must be checked for the actual space rather than inferred from a photo.
Scope and contact details
Leave an email address for questions and an individual offer; a phone number is optional. A specialist confirms price and scope after calculation. Delivery and possible installation are not included automatically. Chat answers and configurator results are not accepted orders. Installation location is discussed when needed.
Your preparation checklist
- Height and floor-finish status.
- Opening dimensions, photos and a labelled sketch.
- Preferred layout, timber and finish.
- Email address for the offer.
This guide helps you prepare an enquiry. It does not replace measurement, technical design or an agreed offer.
